CIRCULAR

Sub:     Invitation of Applications for hiring of  Information Technology (IT) Specialist (National) [Package # PS/Hortex/ 13/08-09.4] IDA Credit No.4386-BD.   

Applications are invited from the bonafide Bangladeshi Nationals for hiring of an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (for four months) in the IDA/GOB/IFAD funded Supply Chain Development Component of National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP) being implemented by Hortex Foundation. TOR of the above position will be as follows:

1.  Major Responsibilities:

i.    Review the current IT infrastructure of SCDC-NATP/Hortex Foundation and suggest necessary options to enrich its current status.

ii.      Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Active Directory, Print Server and File Server on Windows Platform.

iii.     Suggest systems and data/files backups for experts, archiving and disaster recovery and provide expert support as and when necessary.

iv.     Study the feasibility of Cell Bazaar and prepare guidelines for operation and IT need for SCDOs working under ten upazilas and make necessary recommendations.

v.     Conduct training programs for the SCDC, NATP personnel for effective use of network, internet, smooth data backup and advance applications of office package.

vi.     Enhancement of the official website www.hortex.org and incorporation of various information related to SCDC-NATP, project activities.

vii.    Installation of proper MIS and inventory software as per need and device an effective mechanism for smooth operations of the PC & LAN

viii.   Any other assignments given by the Managing Director, HF         

2.  Qualification and Experience:

The Information Technology (IT) Specialist should have Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / ICT / Applied Physics or other relevant subject with at least seven (07) years experience working in national / international organization related to ICT development.

3.  Remuneration: Will be competitive and commensurate with qualification and experience (Negotiable).
